Club Director & Master Coach – Randy Satovitz

Coach Randy established Mindset VBC in 2017. He plans and leads engaging youth volleyball opportunities that focus on quality touches on the ball, a game-like atmosphere, and individualized player feedback. Coach Randy earned a USA Volleyball CAP III certification, refining his coaching techniques to support Mindset VBC players and coaches. He has a bachelor’s in mass communication and journalism from the University of Iowa and a master’s in education from National Louis University. He currently teaches 3rd grade in River Trails School District 26.

Head Coach – Paul Gumila

Paul

Coach Paul started playing volleyball in high school as a second sport and ended up loving it. He played varsity for three years for Notre Dame HS, intramural teams during college, and recreational leagues including indoor 6s or 4s, sand 4s and 2s, and grass 2s. Coach Paul previously coached in Colorado for Wheat Ridge HS girls’ freshman and JV teams, as an assistant head coach for girls’ varsity, and as an assistant coach for a U18 volleyball club in 2001. Over 15 years later, Coach Paul reentered the coaching world at the Niles Park District youth volleyball program. Other hobbies include spending time with his family, playing basketball, and cars.

Coach – Christian Inciong

Coach Christian is excited for his 1st season with Mindset VBC! He started playing volleyball at the age of 13 and has loved it ever since. He played Libero/DS for Loyola Academy as well as club volleyball at D1 VBC. Through these experiences, he understands what it takes to have a successful team while building camaraderie and having fun! Outside of volleyball, Coach Christian graduated with a business degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and works in supply chain consulting. In his free time, he likes cooking, playing card/board games, and playing volleyball in the Chicagoland area.

Coach – Brian Shein

Coach Brian has been playing competitive volleyball since 1995. Many rules have since changed, but he still finds the game as fun as ever and is looking forward to helping Mindset players improve their game. Coach Brian graduated from the University of Illinois with an electrical engineering degree and has been a technology consultant for almost 20 years. He enjoys being outdoors, skiing, and traveling with his family.

Coach – Litsa Copeland

A Chicago native, Coach Litsa started playing volleyball at the age of ten. In high school, she was the starting setter for Good Counsel as well as for her club team, Northside Volleyball Club. Coach Litsa played Division 1 volleyball for Northeastern Illinois University. She has vast experience with coaching including all levels of high school, 8th grade, and club 12s and 13s. Her expertise is in setting, serving, and various volleyball formations. Coach Litsa is a teacher in East Maine District 63 and has run various clinics and intramural volleyball for the District.

Coach & Business Manager – Natalie Hudson

Coach Natalie has been involved with volleyball since the fifth grade, from playing and practicing to supporting family at the collegiate level. She is excited to help Mindset VBC players learn and grow! Coach Natalie is a special education teacher in River Trails School District 26 and has a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University as well as a master’s from Concordia Chicago. She loves traveling and spending time outdoors when she’s not working with kids.
